Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers
The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) is a private, non-profitable association, founded on November 26, 1943, in Lima. It is formed by professionals from different specialties and people with a vast experience that work in the mining industry and in activities related to mining.
The main objective of the IIMP is to promote and carry out activities and events that will permit the professional and technological development of its associates in benefit of the country’s mining industry.
In this context, the IIMP organizes international events such as INFOMINA, the Mining Convention, ProEXPLO and today the Mining Logistical Forum, which is aimed at extending the Meeting on Mining Logistics which is organized every second year within the framework of the Mining Convention.
The IIMP also organizes the Mining Thursdays, the Operators Forum and the Community Relations Forum for its associates. Through its Mining Promotion Program, the Institute promotes the good relations of the mining industry with the communities in the surrounding area.
